Meet the doctor

Richard M. Simcock, DDS

Rick Simcock, DDS is a skilled Endodontist who uses the most advanced technology to perform root canals. Having completed thousands of procedures since 1999, he is adept at meeting any challenge with the ultimate goal of saving teeth. One of Dr. Simcock’s other goals is to demystify the root canal procedure and help educate the public that a root canal is generally not much more complex than having a tooth filled; is not a surgical procedure and does not involve removing the root. The pain associated with root canals is generally felt before the procedure, not during it.

Dr. Simcock was raised in Walla Walla, Washington and attended Loma Linda University in Southern California where he got his degree in music.  From there he completed 4 years of dental school and upon graduation, he was accepted into a two-year residency program in Endodontics at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.

In August of 1999, he opened a new practice in Skagit County. In 2017, he opened an endodontic practice in Bellingham, WA. called North Sound Root Canal Specialists, where his practice now exists.

Dr. Simcock is a coach and mentor to other Endodontists

Dr. Simcock is known for his efficiency, patient-orientation and focus on excellence. So much so that other Endodontists turn to him to improve their own practices, many traveling across the country to witness his methods.

I believe in balancing work and my personal life. It makes me a better Endodontist, husband and father. I have two wonderful adult children, Ethan and Lindsey and am married to Hannah. We live in Bellingham overlooking the beautiful Bellingham Bay with two dogs, Eloise, a French Bulldog, and Darby, a Golden Doodle. We enjoy many activities that are readily available in the Pacific Northwest, including snowboarding, skiing, hiking, and enjoying our friends. My personal interests include music, running, reading, personal growth, and traveling.
